My family and I are very blessed to have more than we need during the holiday season. I have two little boys ages four and one. My four year old doesn't know what its like to go without or not have enough. I want to raise my boys with the knowledge that there are other little boys and girls just like them who aren't fortunate to have everything we do. I came up with the idea of doing an annual toy drive. Raising young boys into strong, compassionate, loving young men is my main goal in life. I want my sons to know the importance of always paying it forward. We are blessed, so we should bless others.
Almost daily I hear my son blake tell his little brother "NO JAGGER! THATS MINE! DONT TOUCH MY TOYS!" I get it, he's only four and he was the only child for a while before his baby brother came along. I'm constantly telling him, "blake, we have to share. Share with your baby brother". Its literally like i'm a broken record. So instead of repeating myself a million more times, I would rather show them how important it is to share with others and give back.
We will be taking donations November 4th, 2019 through December 20th, 2019. Both new and gently used toys are welcome! If your children are anything like mine, I'm sure you have a toy or two at home that doesn't get used anymore. Send it our way!
